1 Traditional practice class - 60 minutes
This is about the internal experience, the wholeness and uniqueness of yoga and the Mysore tradition.Ā Mark will start by introducing the Sun Salutations and essential alignment principles.
The class will be taught combiningĀ the use of subtle and practical cues, detailed visual demonstrations, along with the sanskrit names and counting.Ā The main focus will be connecting breath with movement (vinyasa),emphasising the union of breath, posture and drishti (Tristhana) and feeling the energetics of the practice.Ā Each week will progress through the sequence(s), integrating what is taught in the technique classes. The lost and forgotten art of Pranayama - the rarely taught Ashtanga Pranayama sequence will also be introduced using scientific principles.
1 Technique classĀ - 60 minutes
This is where the progress happens.
In this class you will have access to all of the technique breakdowns that Mark uses in his own practice and what he teaches in his intensives, and future teacher trainings. You will learn directly from Markās own personal practice and experience as a Yoga teacher and explorer of movement and breathwork. He will distil the best of all the traditional teachings that he has received, combined with the very best of modern methods of flexibility training and breathwork.Ā This is a unique opportunity to discover the full breadth of his teaching in a way that has not been shared before.
1 Theory class
Talks about philosophy, lessons for life on and off the mat,Ā as well as troubleshooting practical aspects of the practice. Also in depth breakdowns on the science of breath and the science of flexibility and mobility training.
